With CHDC’s Affordable Housing, older adults can age in place living safely with dignity and self-respect; migrant farmworkers receive a warm meal and a bed to sleep in; people with disabilities live independently in homes designed to meet their needs; and the extremely poor, including the children of seasonal farmworkers, avoid the perils of homelessness. Provides information on general housing, employment, public benefits, legal and education for low income persons. Wednesdays and Fridays available only by phone. The Center has the capacity to house up to 130 people at a time. Offers food, medical screenings, employment, housing counseling and child care. Emergency shelter for children and their families, the disabled and older adults. Intake is daily, may have a waiting list. No clothing distribution. The Homeless Services Center is a day program for homeless men, women and children. Provides lockers, showers, telephone, mail service and referrals to other programs. Open Nov-March. Register through the Homeless Services Center located at 301 6th Street, Suite 108 Santa Rosa, CA 95401 Emergency shelter program for single adults. Participants are eligible to stay in 30 day increments for a total of 180 days. Provides intensive case management, on-site workshops, laundry and access to community based support services.
