and determination. It takes a strong commitment by all involved to reach performance standard. “And while the music is important, it’s more about building team spirit, the discipline of rehearsals and of working collaboratively and cooperatively.”

Robert is always surprised by the level of creativity and professionalism.

“This is the 16th time I’ve been involved and while it’s rewarding, it also has its frustrations.” The well-attended event drew a capacity crowd. Next year, the intention is for it to return to the Town Hall, a bigger venue with greater seating capacity. Sponsorship is being sought for that to happen. Adjudicator Cullen Kiesanowski of the band Nomad had a difficult task on his hands, judging the four categories and weaving his way through performances which included works by Burt Bacharach, Simon and Garfunkel, Thin Lizzy and Duran Duran.
