She was 95 years old. This photograph was taken on her 91st birthday on the croquet lawn at her home, Annery House, Devon.

There are two sets, one in Christopher Alderson Calvert’s hand and the other which appears to be correspondence referred to by Alston in his letter of 3 December 1850.

The Rural sections were not numbered, but acquired their numbers as the choice was made. 8 Town Section 1 is on the corner of Norwich Quay and Canterbury Street. In the Deed of Conveyance it is noted that the hotel Canterbury Arms was on the site. This was correctly the Canterbury Hotel. On 7 March 1855 Thomas Jackson made an agreement with Richard Davis as proprietor.
