My father, Lt. Bill Matthews , served 20 years active and reserve duty as a Naval aviator. This photo was taken after landing on the aircraft carrier, USS Cabot.
My dad was in the Army Reserves in Field Artillery for 27 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
