Research & Validation | Scholastic Literacy Pro

SCHOLASTIC LITERACY PRO DATA AND REPORTING Literacy Pro offers a variety of data for students and educators. Students can share detailed reading accomplishments with their teacher and family. The program also provides both high-level and in-depth reports for educators to monitor the progress of individual students, track improvements in specific comprehension skills, and pinpoint where extra instructional support is needed. REPORTS FOR STUDENTS Literacy Pro wants students to take ownership of their reading journeys and provides several records for them to assess their progress along the way. The data in the Goals section of the Student Profile describes a student’s progress toward reaching their weekly personal goals and quick stats on the amount of reading done so far that year. The Reading Log Record, also in the Student Profile, lists the books that a student is reading or has completed, both Literacy Pro ebooks and paperback titles, which are in print and read offline, to present a complete view of their independent reading. Lastly, students can share the notes and highlighting they have added to their ebooks, providing a good conversation starter with their teacher or parent.
