REACH PROGRAM REACH is an organisation whose focus is on building social and emotional intelligence in young people across Australia. Over year, we were lucky enough to have REACH work with our year levels from year 7 - 10. Covering topics like peer dynamics, respect and empathy, REACH has worked with each cohort to help build rapport and awareness within the year level. The Year 7s focused on building connections with their peers whilst the Year 8s considered what respect can look like in their year level. Year 9s and 10s covered peer dynamics within their cohort and how these affect their interactions with one another. Students expressed that these sessions helped them to learn more about the other students in their year level and build empathy among the group. We have loved having the REACH Program at our school and look forward to welcoming them back next year to build on what the students have learnt.
