Learning Experiences

YEAR TEN

This year has been full of growth, maturation and loads of activities for the Year 10s. James T, Cailin D and Aiden J started the year off by attending the Youth Leaders Conference in February where they heard amazing, inspiring stories of people who have overcome adversity and challenges in their lives to become young leaders, change makers and entrepreneurs. These students brought back with them the knowledge and understanding of ways to: control the controllable; feed their courage; and, own their story.

SCIENCE The entire Year 10 cohort attended the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand prix, where the students were able to get up close and personal with some of the fastest cars in the world. The students had the opportunity to explore the state - of - the - art technology, interact with racing teams, and most of all, share an amazing experience with the world ’ s fastest cars. A fantastic day for all. Whether you are a motorsport fan or not, it is hard to go past the sound of an F1 car and not be amazed by the engineering that goes into the design of these machines. PERFORMING ARTS Although an elective in Year 10, Performing Arts played a massive role across the College in 2023 with the production of ‘ Bring It On ’ during Term 3. In the production we had Aiden J and Josh Q playing in the orchestra pit during all performances. The dedication these two demonstrated to learning every song, consistently attending after school rehearsals, giving up their time at lunch to rehearse and endless hours at home listening to and playing the songs was exemplified in a very smooth and successful performance.
