The Final Years
VCE As we reflect on our journey through VCE (Year 11 & Year 12) in 2023, we recall the moments that have shaped us, the challenges that have tested us, and the triumphs that have united us. This yearbook is a testament to the strength, resilience, and camaraderie of our graduating class. It captures the essence of our final years of high school, a time of growth, discovery, and unforgettable experiences. The bonds forged in our VCE years are the ones that will last a lifetime. Whether it was late - night study sessions, cheering each other on during sporting events, or simply sharing laughter in the school courtyard, our class exemplified the true meaning of unity. We supported one another through thick and thin. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teachers who have worked tirelessly to provide an enriching educational experience for our Year 11 and Year 12 students. Your commitment is truly appreciated. In the coming weeks, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students and preparing for the exciting challenges that lie ahead. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we wish all our students the best of luck as they approach the next phase of their educational journey.
The Year 11’ s this year have settled in nicely to their new routine; quite an adjustment from Year 10. The workload has increased, and the time spent studying has as well but all new skills that have been gained so far are helping them prepare for their futures. As well as doing schoolwork, some fun excursions have happened this year too; GTAC for the Biology class to investigate stem cell research, going to the Wollert tip for Chemistry to learn about how sustainability in chemistry are linked, Food Studies going to Fare Share where they helped prepare and package food. Some Year 11’ s also participated in The Lakes ’ version of ‘ Bring It On: The Musical ’, where they played roles in the main cast and ensemble. As the end of the year approaches, Year 11 students are not only preparing for exams but also eagerly looking forward to what Year 12 has in store for them and setting goals for their final year of high school. Additionally, they are actively seeking advice from Year 12 students to gain insights into managing the challenges that lie ahead. Nash C & Eliza R
