1 Lines 1-5 (Contributions Received) Collectively, these lines represent contributions received: monetary, nonmonetary, and loans. 2 Lines 6-11 (Expenditures Made) Collectively, these lines represent expenditures made: payments, loans made, accrued expenses (bills that are still outstanding), and nonmonetary adjustments. 3 Lines 12-16 (Current Cash Statement) The Current Cash Statement section should accurately reflect the committee’s cash position at the end of the reporting period. If deposits or expenditures have been made that have not cleared the bank account, the committee’s bank balance may not match the ending cash balance. Beginning and ending cash balances should include the total amount of funds in the committee’s campaign checking and savings accounts, plus any investments that can be readily converted to cash, such as certificates of deposit, money market accounts, stocks and bonds, etc. Line 12 (Beginning Cash Balance) The beginning cash balance must be the same as the ending cash balance reported on Line 16 of the previously filed statement. If this is the first statement of the calendar year and no previous statement has been filed but money was raised or spent in the previous reporting period, enter the amount of cash on hand on December 31. Otherwise, enter zero. Line 13 (Cash Receipts) This amount represents the total of all monetary contributions and loans received during the reporting period. Nonmonetary contributions should not be included.
