r 2018-2019 Board Meeting Schedule. Central Washington University Policy 1-10-030 states that the Board shall hold a regular meeting at least once each calendar quarter and may establish a schedule of regular meetings. The proposed schedule for the coming year identifies dates for one telephonic meeting and four, two-day meetings. For each quarterly meeting, the board will hold an afternoon work session and social dinner on the first day, and a business meeting the following day.
The proposed schedule for 2018-19:
• September 28, 2018 [telephonic; briefing/training for NWCCU] • October 21-22, 2018 [coincides with NWCCU visit] • February 21 & 22, 2019 • May 16 & 17, 2019 • July 25 & 26, 2019 [annual planning retreat]
Please note the unusual scheduling of the October meeting. This two-day meeting begins on Sunday, October 21, the evening before the site visit to CWU by the accreditation team of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. We will meet at 4:00 PM on Sunday for a last review of the accreditation information trustees need to be familiar with by 8:00 AM the next morning, when trustees and the NWCCU team will meet to kick off the site review. The board meeting is tentatively planned to conclude Monday afternoon, October 21.
We recommend the following motion:
The Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby adopts the 2018-2019 meeting schedule as proposed.
