The University has created a 10-year parking plan that includes sustaining current parking lots and significantly reconstructing the parking lot at Nicholson Pavilion. The Nicholson improvement is scheduled to be undertaken in 2024 and is budgeted at $1.7 million. In conclusion, this requested parking fee increase will provide the resources necessary to sustain and support the university’s parking improvement plan. We recommend the following motion: The Board of Trustees of Central Washington University hereby approves a 10-percent increase in employee and student parking permits for fall of 2019, and annual increases of 5 percent in each of the next four years.
