ALGAECIDES

HTH® Green Algaecide

Product Description: Green Algaecide is used to treat pool water with a slight green tinge/hue and prevents algae problems from getting out of hand. It also contains a built-in flocculant to trap fine particles and add sparkle to your pool. Features & benefits: - Registered Product (L3738 of Act 36 of 1947)

- Kills and removes Green Algae - Adds sparkle to your pool water - Use 2L of HTH Green Algaecide for every 50,000 liters of water

Free Available Chlorine (FAC) level must be below 1ppm. Disconnect the automatic pool cleaner. Backwash the filter for 2 mins and rinse the filter for 20 seconds. With the pump on the filter position and add one bottle of HTH® Green Algaecide around the sides of the pool. Run the filter for 24 hours. Again, backwash the filter for 2 mins and rinse the filter for 20 seconds. Vigorously brush the algae affected area.

HTH® All-in-1 Algaecide 2L

Product Description: A high-strength algaecide formulation that can be used against all types of algae. The product also contains a water clarifier that helps to remove dead algae from the water through the pool filter.

HTH® Metal Remover 1L

Product Description: Metals like copper and Iron are introduced to pool water by certain pool products, low levels of pH and TA for extended periods and certain water sources like borehole water. HTH Metal Remover binds to metals, keeping them in solution, thereby preventing them from depositing onto the pool lining. Metal remover also reduces scaling and could lead to cloudy water after application. For best results follow up with a clarifier treatment.

Disconnect the automatic pool cleaner (APC). With the multiport set to CIRCULATE/RE-CIRCULATE/ BYPASS, pour 1 liter of HTH® Metal remover around the sides of the pool. Allow to circulate for at least 8 hours to ensure thorough mixing. Test and adjust pH if necessary. Reconnect the automatic pool cleaner. Allow the filter to run continuously for 24 hours. Resume normal chlorination and filtration. If your pool water turns cloudy after using HTH® Metal remover, add HTH® Sparkle It cube or HTH® Sparkle It in accordance with label instructions.

HTH® Stain Lift and Prevent 1kg

HTH Stain lift and prevent contains 1 pouch of stain remover used to lift metal stains from pool lining. 1 pouch of Stain Prevent is included to keep metals from re-depositing.

Adjust pH within range of 6.8 - 7.2 Brush affected area

Add contents of STAIN LIFT pouch around the sidces of the pool especially in the areas where the stains are noticeable. Set pump to CIRCULATE and run continuously for 24 hours In the case of stubborn stains, turn the pump off and apply contents of STAIN LIFT puch directly to the affected area. After 3 -4 hours, set the pool pump to CIRCULATE and run continuously fr 24 hours To prevent stains from re-depositing on the pool lining, add contents of STAIN PREVENT pouch and run the pump continuously for an additional 24 hours. Check/adjust the pH levels to 7.2 – 7.6 and ensure that the Total Alkalinity is in the 80 -120ppm range.

NB: MOST STAINS ARE EASIER TO REMOVE WHEN THEY ARE FRESH. OLD OR DEEPLY-SET STAINS MAY REQUIRE A SECOND TREATMENT.

Product Description: HTH Colour Indicator Filter Cleaner is a fast-dissolve formula that helps to remove scale from filter sand to enhance pool filter performance and extend the lifespan of filter sand. Use this product at the start of the swimming season to improve pool filtration and help keep your pool in mint condition. For sand filters & filters without removable elements:

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Backwash filter. Turn OFF the pump. Loosen screws and remove cover from top of filter. Set the multiport valve on WASTE and allow water to drain out of the filter. Set the multiport valve to the CLOSED position. Pour pre-mixed FILTER CLEANER solution into the filter so that it covers the filter sand. Leave to stand for 12 hours. Replace filter cover and tighten screws. Set the multiport valve onto BACKWASH position. Turn on the pump and backwash until water coming from backwash pipe is clear (approx. 2min). Rinse filter for approx. 1 min.

For cartridge filters & removable DE filter components:

Stop filtration and drain all water from filter. Remove components and place in PLASTIC bucket containing sufficient FILTER CLEANER solution to cover components for 12 hours. Drain, rinse thoroughly with warm water until clear and replace in filter. Resume normal filtration routine.

Product Description: HTH Xtreme Flocc is a powerful liquid clarifier that is ideal to help treat severely green or cloudy swimming pools. Once added, this product will cause any material in the pool to settle to the bottom, allowing for easy removal through manual vacuuming. HTH Xtreme Flocc is the perfect solution to restore your pool back to its sparkling blue condition. Precautions: Never use more than 1 bottle of HTH® Extreme flocc at a time, rather repeat treatment after one week .

Ensure that your pump, filter and pool cleaner are in good working order and that the multiport valve is not leaking. Top up your pool level. Check and correct the pH level. With the pump on circulate/re-circulate or bypass, pour HTH® Extreme Flocc and HTH® Metal Remover around the sides of the pool. Run pump for 12 hours. Switch the pump off at the main switch for 24 hours to allow the sediment to settle to the bottom of the pool. With the filter set on the waste position, restart the pump and manually vacuum the pool slowly

until all the visible sediment is removed from the floor of the pool. Once your pool is clear, backwash and rinse the filter thoroughly. Resume normal filtration and chlorination routine.

PH / TOTAL ALKALINITY ADJUSTERS

Product Description: HTH Green to Blue is a two-step multifunctional pool care solution that sanitizes and clarifies problematic pool water. This product contains 1 pouch of nonstabilised chlorine shock and 1 pouch of a pH balancer/clarifier blend. This product is ideal to restore your pool water after adverse conditions like thunderstorms or a high bather load. Features & benefits: - Registered product (L5337 of Act 36 of 1947) - Turns green pools blue in 24 hours (if water parameters are within the recommended range) - Contains: 1 x pouch chlorine shock treatment (non-stabilised) and 1 x pouch pH balancer/water clarifier blend - Kills algae and bacteria - Reduces pH and Total Alkalinity levels - Contains a water clarifier HTH® Green to Blue Multifunctional Pool Care Solution

Calculate size of pool and volume of water. Start the treatment in the late afternoon. Clear the pump and weir baskets of debris. BACKWASH the filter for 3 minutes, then RINSE for 2 minutes.

Scoop any visible leaves or other debris off the bottom of the pool to allow the automatic pool cleaner to move freely. Set the multiport valve to the FILTER position and set the timer to run for 12 continuous hours; turn the pump on. Sprinkle the contents of PACK 1 around the sides of the pool. Then separately sprinkle the contents of PACK 2 around the side of the pool. Brush all visible algae off pool walls and steps. Once the 12 hours of filtering is complete, clear the pump and weir baskets of debris.

BACKWASH the filter for 3 minutes and then RINSE for 2 minutes. Continue on FILTER for a further 12 hours.

Remove the HTH® Sparkle It™ Cube from the packaging and add to pool – follow label directions. If the pool is very cloudy, add HTH® Xtreme Flocc – follow label directions. Do not enter the pool until the chlorine residual is <3 ppm.

NB: DO NOT MIX THE CONTENTS OF PACK 1 WITH THE CONTENTS OF PACK 2 REACTION THAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR DEATH MAY OCCUR First, add contents of Pack 1 to pool water. Only then, add contents of Pack 2 to pool water. If pool lining is fibreglass/coloured, first pre-dissolve the contents of Pack 1 ONLY in a bucket of water and then add to pool water. Thereafter, pre-dissolve contents of Pack 2 ONLY in a bucket of water and then add to pool water.

HTH® Dry Acid 3kg

Product Description: HTH Dry Acid is a convenient alternative to liquid pool acid that is used to reduce pH levels in your swimming pool. Maintain pH levels within the recommended range to treat cloudy water, prevent stains on the pool lining and prevent your eyes and skin from itching or burning. Features & benefits: - Used to reduce pH and Total Alkalinity levels - Fast-dissolve formula - Convenient to use, will not splash when added to water - Safer to handle than liquid acid

pH should be kept between 7.2 - 7.6 to ensure effective sanitation, avoid eye and skin irritation and prevent damage to pool linings and equipment. Test pH level using HTH Quick Test Strips or HTH 4 in1 Test kit. With the filter running, add 250g (½ capful) of HTH® Dry Acid around the sides if the pool. Filter for 3-4 hours, test and readjust pH if necessary. If pH is still too high, continue to adjust down until within the required range of 7.2 -7.6

NB: Never add more than 500grams at a time . In the case of a vinyl or colored lining, pre-dissolve HTH® Dry Acid in a bucket of water before adding to the pool. To lower Total Alkalinity (TA)

Switch the pump off Add 1KG of HTH® Dry Acid diluted in 5 liters of water, then Pour into one spot in the deep end of the pool. Leave the pump off for 15 minutes Switch the pump on and continue with normal filtration. Check the TA level after 12 hours. If necessary, repeat the process until the ideal range is reached

NB: NEVER ADD MORE THAN 1KG OF HTH® DRY ACID AT ANY ONE TIME. 1KG DROPS TA BY 10PPM IN 50 000L

HTH® Acid Weir Tabs 2kg

Product Description: HTH Dry Acid is a convenient alternative to liquid pool acid that is used to reduce pH levels in your swimming pool. Maintain pH levels within the recommended range to treat cloudy water, prevent stains on the pool lining and prevent your eyes and skin from itching or burning. These easy-to-use tablets can be dropped in the weir basket for faster action. Features & benefits: - Contains 8 x 250g Dry Acid tablets - Used to reduce pH and Total Alkalinity levels - Fast-dissolve formula - Convenient to use - Safer to handle than liquid acid

To Lower pH

pH should be kept between 7.2 - 7.6 to ensure effective sanitation, avoid eye and skin irritation and prevent damage to pool linings and equipment. Test pH level. If pH is high, drop 1 tablet (250g) of HTH® Dry Acid Weir Tabs into the weir around the pressure plate. HTH® Dry Acid Weir Tabs will dissolve slowly over a 20 minute period. Never add more than 1 tablet of HTH® Dry Acid Weir Tabs at any one time. Check pH after 3-4 hours to ensure it is in the correct range of 7.2 - 7.6. HTH® Dry Acid Weir Tabs should never be placed directly into the pool.

Product Description: HTH Soda Ash is a fast-dissolve product used to keep your pH levels within the recommended range. Pre-dissolve this product in a bucket of water to easily increase the pH level in the pool. Features & benefits: - Used to increase pH level - For use on marbelite linings only (do not use on fibreglass or vinyl pool linings) - Contains 500g of Soda Ash + 10% extra HTH® Soda Ash pH Increaser 500g

With the pump and filter running, add HTH® Soda Ash to a bucket of water and using a plastic object, mix well. Pour the mixture. Re-test the pH level after 3 – 4 hours.

HTH® Alkalinity Up 3kg

Product Description: An easy-to-dose free-flowing powder that is ideal for increasing pH and Total Alkalinity in swimming pools. Features & benefits: - Helps to keep pH levels stable - Raises Total Alkalinity - Can also be used to raise pH - 1kg of HTH Alkalinity Up raises the TA of 50,000 litres of water by 10 ppm - Safe for use on all pool linings

To increase Total Alkalinity (TA) NB: 1kg of HTH® Alkalinity Up should raise the TA by approximately 10ppm.

To prevent possible staining from metals that may be present in your water, add 1 bottle of HTH® Metal Remover - follow label directions. With the pump off, add 1kg of HTH® Alkalinity Up to one spot of the deep end of the pool. Leave the pump off for 15 minutes. Switch the pump on and continue with normal filtration. After 12 hours, check the TA level. If necessary, repeat the process of adding HTH® Alkalinity Up until the ideal range is reached.

Shock : To treat algae, discolored water or due to extreme conditions (i.e., extreme weather, high bather load, etc) With the pump on the filter setting Add 3 x normal dose of HTH® Granular + or 1 bag of HTH® Shock It Test and correct pH after 12 hours. Only enter pool water when chlorine level is <3ppm

SHOCK TREATMENT

Directions for use: Use only as directed.

(Based on a 50 000l pool)

Calculate size of pool and volume of water. Start the treatment in the late afternoon. Clear the pump and weir baskets of debris. BACKWASH the filter for 3 minutes, then RINSE for 2 minutes.

BACKWASH the filter for 3 minutes and then RINSE for 2 minutes. Continue on FILTER for a further 12 hours.

First, add contents of Pack 1 to pool water. Only then, add contents of Pack 2 to pool water. If pool lining is fibreglass/coloured, first pre-dissolve the contents of Pack 1 ONLY in a bucket of water and then add to pool water. Thereafter, pre-dissolve contents of Pack 2 ONLY in a bucket of water and then add to pool water.

NB: DO NOT MIX THE CONTENTS OF PACK 1 WITH THE CONTENTS OF PACK 2 REACTION THAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, INJURY OR DEATH MAY OCCUR
