25 25 YEARS STRONG AND STILL GROWING Plant Source International has grown from a very small collection of products and minimal production to now having a wide range of items that can serve a wide range of customers. Being that PSI is an independent producer of URCs, it allows the opportunity to grow and adapt to better provide for the market’s desires. PSI Mexico is building additional greenhouses to better serve and meet market demands. COVID-19 has been a mixed blessing for many of us in this industry. We have lost people special to us, yet it has been a time of revival for our industry as society has rediscovered the pleasure of growing flowers and edibles. Fortuitously, it has caused the next generation of gardeners to stop and learn about the benefits of having plants around the home. How we continue to connect and cultivate these new customers will be the challenge we must all contemplate and work towards accomplishing. Looking back over 25 years of PSI, it would not be achievable without the extraordinary efforts of so many wonderful employees in Mexico and the USA. I want to thank and affirm all the actions of Mauricio Paniagua, General Manager and Business partner in Mexico, who has done all the hard work to make this possible. In the office, Linda Strandlund has streamlined, organized, and daily managed the order process, shipping, and all other challenges with fantastic talent. I want to thank them and everyone else working at PSI for making us into the company we are today. The excitement for the following season’s introductions is building as we have many new items, including a significant group from the Hort Couture program, primarily Coleus. We continue to search for our grower and retailer customers’ genetics of interest and desire. This year, a broader selection of unique Tradescantia varieties is available through our partnership with D.S. Cole to add production of the Zebra collection that Doug had collected over the years. Herbs have continued to be a mainstay in the PSI program, and this year we are adding some new patented items from Volmary that look very interesting and unique. Please take a look at all the latest offerings, as we’re confident that you’ll be as excited to add them as we have been.
