In California, MADD provided supportive services to drunk and drugged driving victims to help them cope with the devastating impact of substance-impaired driving crashes at no cost. When tragedy strikes, victims need support. MADD prides itself on being one of the largest victim services organizations in the country. Part of those services includes ensuring a victim’s rights are maintained. From making a victim impact statement to notification of offender status, victims have rights thanks to the Victim Rights Act of 2004.
