MENTORS WANTED
Experts agree children learn from the adults around them. As novelist James Baldwin said, “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.” Are you willing to give of yourself and mentor a Long Beach youth? Do you want to make a difference in the life of a child? Will you help a promising student stay on the right track? Or would you prefer a challenge to help an at-risk child? The Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office is partnering with a number of organizations and programs to help match mentors with those who can benefit from mentoring.
