Gallop into the Year of the Horse at Shangri-La. Celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year with vibrant traditions and immersive cultural experiences. Embrace the energy of the Horse and welcome a year of prosperity, momentum, and new beginnings at Shangri-La. TRADITIONAL LION DANCE Traditional Lion Dance ceremony. The celebration opens with the centuries-old ritual of dotting the eyes, symbolically bringing the lion to life, before the performance unfolds to the powerful rhythm of beating drums. The lions then perform Cai Qing, the plucking of auspicious greens, before parading through the Qaryat Al Beri complex. The ceremony concludes with a lively Yee Sang toss, inviting prosperity and joy.
