ANGKASA Aims To Open More Dialysis Centre Around The Country The number of Malaysians suffering from chronic kidney disease is on the rise and shows no sign of slowing down. In 2017, more than 40,000 kidney patients have had to undergo dialysis treatment while the number of dialysis centre around the country reached more than 700, which definitely still not enough to accommodate the ever-increasing number of new patients each year. Upon realizing that it is crucial
for the country to have more dialysis centre, ANGKASA through its subsidiary, MyANGKASA Dialisis, opened MyANGKASA Dialysis Centre at Pahang, the third largest state in Malaysia, in December 2012. At present, the dialysis centre has nine dialysis machines that can cater up to 40 patients per week. In May 2017, ANGKASA teamed up with the Kedah Malay Teachers Co-operative to open a second dialysis centre located at Kedah’s capital state, Alor Setar. With the help of 12 machines, a total of 20 patients can receive their treatment at this centre per week. Together, the two dialysis centres recorded USD2.13 million in revenue from 2013 to October 2018.
