ALISBURY , MD — Becker Morgan Group was recently awarded the 2015 Metal Architecture Ribbed Metal Wall Panels De- sign Award for Audi Cape Fear. The project is featured in the July issue of Metal Architecture and displayed on their website at at www.metalarchitecture. com. The Metal Architecture Design Awards recognize win- ning entries based on “creativ- ity in the metal construction industry and showcase exciting uses of steel” incorporated into project design. Audi Cape Fear is a 21,800 s/f automotive dealership located inWilmington, North Carolina. The triangular-shaped site resulted in a unique triangu- lar-shaped building footprint which allowed for an exciting dynamic between the primary programmatic elements: show- room, sales offices, and the service garage. The angles of the walls helped enhance the dynamic presence of the build- ing, located at one of the busiest intersections in Wilmington. Becker Morgan Group provided consultation as the owner’s ar- chitect during schematic design exercises led by Audi’s corpo- rate architect, CDR Studio Architects of New York City, NY. Becker Morgan Group was Architect of Record, providing design development, construc- tion documents, and construc- tion phase services. In other news...
