YDE PARK, MA — J.M. Electrical Com- pany, Inc. , premier professionals in advanced auto- mated building system installa- tions, announced that they have completed project operations for the energy efficiency upgrade at Georgetowne Homes, a newly renovated affordable housing development located in Hyde Park, MA. Under the manage- ment of mechanical contractor EM Duggan , J.M. Electrical electricians contributed to the renovation project by updating the building’s heating system for 928 of the housing units, H

installing central boiler plants, and installing a VRF System (variable refrigerant monitor- ing) for the building’s commu- nity center. “This important project will provide Boston residents with affordable housing options equipped with energy efficient technology in what was the largest affordable housing de- velopment preservation project in the Commonwealth’s his- tory.” said Stephen Guarrac- ino , operations officer at J.M. Electrical. “We were excited to integrate these innovative en- ergy systems into the structure

while also reducing the build- ing’s energy costs.” Georgetowne Homes pre- sented unique requirements and specific challenges for con- tractors working to update the housing development. J.M. Electrical replaced the electric heating system with central boiler plants, rewired and in- stalled new thermostats and completely revamped the com- munity center in order to reduce energy demand and consump- tion while guaranteeing reliable energy delivery for power and heat. “Today’s advanced building systems are amazingly sophis- ticated, but it takes a wide range of skills and knowledge to ensure that all the systems work seamlessly and reliably,” said Guarracino. “As a result of this project, Georgetowne Homes will save money and energy, while also providing an exceptional living experience for all occupants.” n Corelogic expands building permit database IRVINE, CA — CoreLogic , a global property information, analytics and data-enabled ser- vices provider, announced that its nationwide Building Permit Database has surpassed over 28 million residential, com- mercial and industrial building permits and now tracks more than 35 permit types, covering 65% of the U.S. residential and commercial market. The Building Permit Data- base provides users access to comprehensive improvement data in a standardized format. The database also uses Asses- sor Parcel Numbers (APNs), as well as standard addresses and latitude/longitude—all industry norms for property identification—to easily link to other CoreLogic property and mortgage datasets. This integration allows users to gain visibility into all relevant property and property transac- tion details related to a specific building permit or property im- provement. The Building Per- mit Database and the linkage provides property intelligence necessary to assess risk and opportunity to a variety of in- dustry stakeholders, including appraisers, direct marketers, homebuyers, lenders, realtors, property insurers, servicers and secondary market partici- pants. n
