Co-ops as key player for UN’s 2030 Agenda

In an effort to promote United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly on SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, the International Co-operative Alliance Asia Pacific (ICA-AP) and the Malaysia Business Office (MBO) have organized a seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The seminar, which was hosted by ANGKASA and supported by the Japanese Consumer Co-operative Union (JCCU), witnessed the present of a total of 77 delegates from 12 Asia Pacific countries.
The seminar’s main objective was to provide knowledge of SDGs, a global agenda set by the UN to be achieved by 2030, to ICA-AP members as well as the different roles that co-operative sector can play in realizing these goals.
