The annual Clarence Creek demolition derby took place on June 8, under a sweltering sun and a vicious horde of mosquitos. Hundreds of action lovers filled the many seats available for the event. Yells of encouragements were heard whenever the drivers entered the small, walled-off area where they then proceeded to ram their already well-dented vehicles into each other. As of press time, we still weren’t able to determine who the winner of the event had been. — photos Francis Racine
C’est sous une chaleur torride et une invasion de moustiques déterminés qu’une centaine de spectateurs ont rempli les gradins du derby de démolition, le 8 juin dernier, à Clarence-Creek. Organisé par le Club Lions de Clarence Creek, l’évènement a attiré une vingtaine de participants, qui ont tous épaté la foule, travaillant avec acharnement afin d’enfoncer leurs bolides dans les autres voitures. —photo Francis Racine
