A traditional POS is when data being kept on local servers and run on a closed internal network. A photo of yourself kept on the desktop of your laptop, which means the photo cannot be accessed from anywhere else but your laptop is a simple anology of a traditional POS. Whereas a cloud-based POS, which is data being stored on remote servers, allows the data to be shared with others and accessed from anywhere via online (with the presence of internet).
