A Drone is considered Over the Arch Gate when any part of the Drone has flown above the letters “AERIAL DRONE COMPETITION” in the logo of the Arch Gate and remained in the Flight Zone.
Teams can help themselves and the referees by making it abundantly clear they have flown OVER the Arch Gate. For best visibility, Teams are encouraged to fly their Drones in the green zone highlighted in Figure 2 5 (above the letters DRONE COMP on the Arch Gate). Teams that fly in the yellow zone are more subject to the Referee’s interpretation and angle of vision. Reminder: The Flight Zone has a virtual ceiling of approximately 10 feet high, which is approximately 4 feet above the top of the Arch Gate.
