Autonomous Flight Skills Mission Scoring Definitions
<AM2> Take off. The Drone has lifted entirely off the ground from Color Mat 1 or Color Mat 2. Teams may earn points for taking off Color Mat 1, once per Match. Teams may earn points for taking off Color Mat 2, once per Match.
<AM3> Identify the color of a Color Mat. Using programming code the Drone must:
1. Use the color sensor to identify the color of the mat. 2. U se programming code to change the Drone light color to reflect the color of the mat the Drone is on (Color Mat 1 or Color Mat 2). 3. P oints for identifying Color Mat 2, may only be awarded if completed BEFORE a reset. (see rule <AM11>).
Teams may earn points for identifying the color of Color Mat 1, once per Match. Teams may earn points for identifying the color of Color Mat 2, once per Match.
<AM4> Complete a figure 8. A Figure 8 is considered completed when a Drone
1. H as completed all 4 steps in the correct order as listed below. 2. H as flown in the correct directions as shown in Figure 24. 3. H as completed the figure 8 without completing any other scored tasks during the process Step 1: Fly under the Red Arch Gate Step 2: Fly over the Blue Arch Gate Step 3: Fly under the Blue Arch Gate Step 4: Fly over the Red Arch Gate Teams may earn points for Flying Figure 8 a total of two (2) times during an Autonomous Flight Skills Match.
Notes: For example, if a Team completes Step 1 and Step 2 and then goes through yellow Keyhole Gate before completing step 3 and 4. The Team would not receive the score for the Figure 8 (see point 3 of Rule <AM4>). But the Team would receive points for flying under the red Arch Gate and flying through the yellow Keyhole Gate.
If a Drone earns points for a Figure 8, then they do not DO NOT ALSO earn points for flying Under the Red Arch Gate. It’s an either/or situation.
