<AM11>Autonomous means “no humans.” During an autonomous flight skills Match, Drones must operate entirely using pre-written programming instructions. Team members are permitted to start their pre-written instructions from the programming device but are not allowed to interact with the Drone, controllers or programming device in any other way, except as stated in Rule <AM16>
< AM12> 5 Minute Timer. The 5 minute timer begins once the Team has rolled the die for their first run.
Note: If teams wish to calibrate their sensors, we recommend that Teams do this before matches begin at the beginning of the day.
<AM13> Drone starting position. 1. Prior to the start of each Match, the Drone must be placed so that it is contacting Color Mat 1 as shown in Figure 30 . 2. If the Team resets the Drone mid Match (see rule <AM11>), the Drone must be placed so that it is contacting Color Mat 2 as shown in Figure 30 .
