<AM16> Resetting a Drone during an Autonomous Flight Skills Match . A Team may reset their Drone one time during each Autonomous Flight Skills Mission Match. 1. U pon handling the Drone, it must immediately be brought to Color Mat 2. 2. F light Team Members may position the Drone as desired on Color Mat 2. 3. The Programmer may then start the Drone again from their computer, using pre-written programming instructions as stated in rule <AM11>. Teams should take caution in retrieving their Drone as the timer does not stop. If Field Elements are knocked out of place, by a flight team member, they must be moved back, but the timer will continue to run. <AM17> Autonomous Flight Mission Schedule. Teams complete Autonomous Flight Missions on a first-come, first served basis. Each Team will get the opportunity for 2 five minute sessions. During this 5 minute session, Teams may run up to three Autonomous Flight Matches . Autonomous Flight Matches can be as short or as long as Teams are able to create, but a max of 3 Matches will be allowed during each session. All Matches will be scored. This allows Teams to make minor adjustments between Matches to adapt to field conditions. The time stops at 5 minutes, so if a the Drone is in mid-flight at the end of the 5 minutes, no additional points will be awarded. <AM18> Autonomous Flight and Piloting Mission Skills rankings. Teams are ranked by combining their highest Autonomous Flight Mission and Piloting Mission Skills scores from the event.
Ties in Team ranking are broken by: 1. H ighest autonomous score
2. 2 nd highest autonomous score 3. 3 rd highest autonomous Score 4. 4 th highest autonomous Score 5. H ighest Piloting score 6. 2 nd highest Piloting score 7. If the tie still isn’t broken, the Event Partner may choose to allow Teams to have one more deciding Match, or both Teams may be declared the winner.
