Dear Cattlemen,
We, at Lau Angus, would like to extend a warm welcome to all the cattle people for considering our program. We look forward to our 58 th Annual Bull Sale, featuring registered Angus bulls, bred heifers, and commercial open females and a few select registered Simmental bulls. As you review the sale offering, you will recognize our ongoing effort to improve the quality of the cattle we raise. Additionally, we have HD50K tested the registered Angus and GGP-100K the Simmental sale offering for both your benefit and ours. Doing this genomic test improves the accuracy of the EPDs. In conclusion, you can have more confidence in the numbers on any animal you buy when this DNA test has enhanced the EPDs. Our goal has not changed; it is still built around calving ease, performance, soundness, with breed-leading maternal and carcass traits. We strive to produce cattle with a balance of genetic characteristics that give our customers sound, functional cattle with natural muscle, rib shape, eye appeal, and the ability to perform. You will find several different sire groups in the sale, as we make every mating the best we possibly can for all traits of performance and phenotype. We select bulls that are similar in stature to maintain uniformity while allowing ourselves a wider selection of mating opportunities to produce better cattle. If we can be of any assistance in your selection process regarding our sale offerings, feel free to stop in to visit or give us a call. All up-to-date data, including scrotal measurements, performance information, and ultrasound data, will be available on the sale day.
