Undergraduate students interested in sustained research are invited to apply for the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program. In addition to the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, all three campuses offer a Research Scholar Transcript Notation designed to showcase your academic excellence and commitment to scholarly pursuits. This notation highlights your dedication toward research, enhancing your appeal to potential employers and recognizing your commitment as a distinguished scholar.

EARNING RECOGNITION: THE RESEARCH SCHOLAR TRANSCRIPT NOTATION Successful completion of the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program will result in a Research Scholar Notation on your official academic transcript, marking your significant achievement in research and scholarly pursuits.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Research Experience: X Involvement in two or more terms of research under faculty or staff mentor supervision or through a program approved by the Office of Undergraduate Research, Daytona Beach (OUR-DB), the Undergraduate Research Institute, Prescott (URI-PC) or Research Scholars Program, Worldwide (RSP-WW) and Pathways to Student Success (PATHWAYS-WW). Research Dissemination: X Sharing research through a combination of three or more presentations and publications, including one institutional presentation. Research Training: X Completion of workshops, training or coursework related to research, focusing on topics such as research methods, data analysis, ethics, presentation preparation and more. Research Endorsement: X Need for a minimum of one endorsement from a research mentor detailing the research project, project period, student role and project outcomes. Research Reflection: X Description of the impact of research on personal/ professional development and how these experiences will influence immediate and long-term goals. Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV): X Include a formal resume or CV that highlights the impact of research experience.
