Associate Degree in Nursing Graduates I never thought I would be accepted to a program and Sumner really changed my life! I appreciated the class sizes along with the hybrid learning environment that allowed me to continue working through the program. I graduated in June 2023, and I started working for Providence St. Vincent’s on the Oncology floor in August. I love the culture of teamwork and patient advocacy that my floor embraces. The nurses are helpful and supportive to me and my fellow new grad RN’s on the unit! I am so happy I decided to go to nursing school!
Prior to enrolling at Sumner College, I was working as a medical assistant wishing I was a nurse because I knew I could do more! I chose Sumner because it was the best option for me and my family. I am currently working for Providence St. Vincent Medical Center on the Acute Care Cardiology Unit. I work with patients that have received a new heart transplant, valve repairs, among other things.
