Restroom facilities with storage area; 3. Seating to accommodate 1,000-1,500 guests and fans (traditional seating almost doubling what is at the soccer fields now); 4. Lighting for night events/programming; 5. Perimeter fencing and security entrance features; 6. Audio speaker system; 7. Equipment (Recreation will share the cost for field turf-maintenance equipment with CWU Athletics; 8. Electricity, and Internet and/or wireless capabilities; and 9. Safety Blue Light: Outdoor emergency telephones have been installed at the entrances to residence halls, while other strategically located “blue light” emergency telephones are installed throughout campus. Each phone has a direct line to the KITTCOM (Kittitas County 911) dispatch center. University police officers respond to all campus emergency calls placed through KITTCOM. Following are additional elements the project committee recommended, should resources become

*Required to host championship NCAA Track Meets  Safety: The Student Recreation Advisory Board expressed a great deal of excitement about this project as it creates safe and secure recreation space. Students are looking for a track facility that is well lit during hours in the evening at a location that is close and comfortable. The project provides safe and secure access unlike what is offered by any similar facility on campus and in the community. Creating a space in this area of campus, near the academic core, library, the new residence hall and dining, along with enhanced athletic facilities, supports a vibrant student community.  CWU Athletics: Tomlinson Stadium, constructed in 1959, is the home of the Wildcat Football and Track & Field programs. The playing surface is natural grass and is surrounded by a 400-meter rubberized track that was last resurfaced in 1992. The track, as shown in section 4 of this report, is beyond repair with large cracks on the surface which emanate from cracks in the base of the track. The inside edges of the track have deteriorated into the inside lane line and the lane itself. The rubberized surface has also deteriorated and hardened leaving very limited elasticity and cushion on the surface. All of these issues have resulted in a track that is not only beyond repair, it is also unsuitable and out of
