When we chose to make this embryo mating our hope was to really compound maternal phenotypic excellence as we combined the great Donna 439 with 109Z. We ended up with two bulls that not only are royally bred maternally, but they are also really good kind. Both super attractive in their build, they are expressive bulls readily displaying the muscle and power they contain within. Their donor dam is the most influential female we have ever flushed. 109Z, best known as Coalitions dam, is an absolute power female, and one of the best Angus cows we’ve ever had a chance to be around. No matter who we mate her to she passes on extra muscle, mass and performance. As we are starting to get a collection of her daughters in production, it is really exciting to see how her udder quality and performance genetics still shine through.
