Andritz
Received engineering order for a landmark textile recycling plant; the plant will be the first to recover cotton and polyester from blended textile waste. Circ’s innovative recycling process can break down polycotton textile waste into its original components – polyester and cotton. The forthcoming plant will process 200 tons of textile waste per day, allowing cotton to be recycled for lyocell production and polyester to be reused for polyester production. To refurbish and modernise the plant’s key components, including Pelton turbines, generators, protection valves, and overhead cranes. Andritz will also supply state-of-the-art electrical systems, automation solutions, protection systems, and instrumentation auxiliaries to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the plant. To provide the world’s biggest EVOfuge steam recovery system for what is billed as the world’s biggest MDF plant. The EVOfuge system is designed for a fibre throughput of 80t/h and to save more than 10t/h of steam. To deliver facilities management solutions and catering services, with an initial focus on introducing cost- effective innovations to enhance operations and improve efficiency and sustainability. The contract runs for one year initially. To provide a P100 paper winder for this test liner and fluting paper production plant. Featuring an impressive width of 7360mm, the rewinder is designed to process test liner and fluting paper jumbo rolls with a basis weight range of 85 to 140g/m², operating at a design speed of 2600m/min. To deliver an IQ Quality Control System for corrugator for optimizing sheet quality. The order includes a comprehensive package featuring quality control systems with three scanners, a moisturizer system, and automatic warp control and moisture profiling for corrugated sheets, enabling the site to improve productivity and end-product quality. To rebuild PM1 to increase production of containerboard by about 19% to 128,000tpy. The rebuild includes upgrades to both the OCC stock preparation and the paper machine. Voith will make changes to the approach flow system and also relocate the existing headbox. The forming section will be optimised and will receive new dewatering elements.
