experience, striving to make it memorable. Our team then gets excited to do it the following day!” Explains Jafet. “One of my favourite comments from our residents is when they tell me the food is ‘almost as good as my mother used to make for me.’ is means we have successfully evoked cherished memories and provided a comforting culinary experience,” Jafet continues. “Every meal is a celebration of life where each bite evokes childhood memories, sparks joyful laughter, and fosters heart- warming conversation around the table. at’s what dierentiates our dining experience here at Seasons,” concludes Shirley. As you search for a retirement home for yourself or a loved one, during your visit, ask to see the menu or have a conversation with a member of the dining services team to get a glimpse into the dining experience. In your retirement years, you should expect to continue the traditions and routines that you appreciate most and enjoying meals should be no exception.

Residents are presented with an abundance of menu options.* ere is a Feature of the Day at lunch and dinner, and ve other options are always available. Each week, our homes feature a ‘resident’s choice’ meal adapted from a resident’s recipe or a favourite of the community. If residents have special dietary requirements, they can speak to the dining services team specically. Menus rotate every ve weeks and reect the changing seasons, with lighter fare oered in the spring and summer and wholesome comfort foods in the fall and winter. In addition, classic resident favourites, such as meatloaf and roast beef dinners, are prepared year-round. If you’re wondering where this food comes from, our food distributor, Sysco, acts as the middleman between food manufacturers and us, the food service operators. e distributor purchases, stores, sells, and delivers products, providing us with a wide range of selections. Sysco continues to partner with more local ranchers, growers, and producers than any other distributor in the industry, helping support local farm-to-fork initiatives and providing the freshest products available. All the while, we encourage resident feedback and aim to cater to specic tastes and desires. Each community can share its comments and suggestions at a monthly Food Committee meeting. “Here at Seasons, we listen to our residents’ suggestions, then try to accommodate them when and how we can, without compromising the quality of food that we serve and taking into consideration menu planning, intolerances, or allergies,” shares Shirley. In some communities, residents can enjoy refreshments in our 24-hour bistro or common area between mealtimes, including coee, tea, juice, baked goods, and fresh fruit throughout the day. While in others, they benet from the convenience of oerings at our micro markets. We also have spaces that residents can reserve to host events or gatherings for special occasions. For many of our team members, one of the most rewarding aspects of their job is making meaningful connections with residents daily. “Residents are the heart of the dining experience; our dining services sta takes every opportunity to connect with residents and their families.
