THE ROLE
The role of Head of Estates Operations is a new one in Estates and Facilities. Formerly the Assistant Director for Engineering and Maintenance and the Assistant Director of Facilities reported to the Director of Estates and Facilities. The new role is pivotal in shap- ing the delivery of hard and soft facilities management services going forward: improving quality and performance and leading significant operational and cultural change. As part of the senior management team the role will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the newly formed Operations Group and will be key in enabling the department to support the University in achievement of its key strategic ambitions of collegiality, quality, national and international reputation and sustainability.
