7. Payback & ROI The potential payback periods for heat pipe heat exchangers are very much dependent upon a number of different variables, including hours of operation, exhaust temperatures, and price per kWh. However, payback periods of as little as 2-3 years are common.

Overall, the installation provided a low fouling, easy

cleaning, low maintenance and high reliability solution with a payback period of less than six months.
