FMB Members meet with Infrastructure Minister

Minister was grateful for the “boots on the site” experience of the members to help bring about improvement. FMB’s reputation as the ‘go to voice’ of the SME building sector is recognised by government agencies, enabling the FMB to raise members’ issues at every opportunity. FMB Northern Ireland arranged a roundtable discussion with newly appointed Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd MLA. Northern Ireland Director, Gavin McGuire, was joined by members Ian Lowry of Lowry Building & Civil Engineering and Steven Nickell of Nickell & Richmond Ltd who offered the Minister insight into the reality of NI water issues and the impact these are having on work and site development. Planning is within the Minister’s remit, so members’ experiences of the system in Northern Ireland was discussed. The
