I had the opportunity to take part in a Swansea University Paid Internship (SPIN) at the Centre for Ageing & Dementia Research (CADR), where summarised articles with topics varying from ageing and exercise to Alzheimer’s diagnoses, which are available on the CADR website. I developed skills including working in a professional environment, explaining empirical research in simpler terms, and editing my work in line with feedback. I would recommend SPIN to any students looking to broaden their subject knowledge and improve their understanding of research, whilst earning.
