If you've ever shared your heart with people who are important to you, and were met with these responses, or similar ones, you are not alone. Sharing your vision with the wrong crowd can knock the wind out of your sails. It is common to misjudge the readiness of the people we care for because our love for them can cloud our line of sight to discern where they are in their mental, emotional and spiritual maturity. Although, it is possible that there are individuals who might be jealous or envious of what you carry as a visionary and a leader, and want to interfere with your progress, I tend to find that many that speak death to your hopes and dreams don't want to hurt you.

They simply have limiting beliefs and a narrow world view that blocks their ability to see beyond what is necessary to achieve greatness, not only for you, but for themselves. It is not personal. They just haven't done the work, yet. Their lack of intent does not change the fact that their vocalized unbelief can be detrimental to your progress, if you are not careful. Practice discussing your vision with those who need to know, and no one else. Who needs to know? When you think about this, you will probably find that the list is very short, and it is typically comprised of entrepreneurial and life coaches, instructors, mentors, a knowledgeable and trustworthy friend, or two, and someone who knows how to confidentiality get a prayer through.

You hoped they would share your enthusiasm, but instead, you were met with apathy, doubt, or major discouragement: "You've never done something like that before. How do you expect to pull it off?" "Didn't you learn your lesson with that last business you tried? Why don't you see if you can get promoted on your job so that you can make stable money that way?"

As you walk out the vision, this list will conservatively expand to include people who are directly involved with carrying the dream forward. During this season, you might learn that a person in which you have shared your details and processes, is not as ready as you thought. Maybe they don't understand the need for the sacrifices that you are making … or how long it should be taking. Maybe they don't possess the mindset required to adequately support you along your journey.

Whatever the reason, don't internalize their sentiments. People can't give you what they don't have. Don't initiate discussions regarding your plans in the future. If they do, thank them for their interest in your updates and generalize your responses. If you had a newborn infant, you would not put him in the arms of just anyone who is willing and eager to hold him. You would take care in selecting who is allowed the privilege of handling your precious gift

Likewise, when it comes to your vision, you must use wisdom to protect and nurture the dream that God has impregnated within you. He will surely see that it comes to fruition, healthy and strong.

Kids Now that you're back in school I'm pretty sure you have gotten a few assignments. If not your 1st project you might be thinking, "Hey, I have the whole year, even if I mess up now I can do better later," so you wind up procrastinating and not getting the assignment done. Procrastinating is when you don't do things that you need to get done. When you procrastinate you end up losing sleep, not remembering things, you fall behind, your grades drop, you get into more trouble and you begin to lose privileges, phone, iPad, TV, or games.

Why we procrastinate People will often procrastinate because they have multiple things to do and it seems to be overwhelming or like they can't do everything. Some people may see things as too hard, not fun, boring, or stressful. When you don't feel like you can do something it can make you feel bad about yourself or even feel low about yourself but it's all in your mind. Remember the truth, you have the mind of Christ and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

2. Put everything on a planner or calendar. 1 Corinthians 14:40. Check it daily to keep up with work. This will help organize everything and you have a visual of what to do. 3. Create a schedule for each assignment. Luke 14:28

Take a 5-10 min break after 30- 45 min of doing your work or studies This will help you stay focused, get less tired, and not get distracted and stop doing your work.

1. Make a list of your assignments, projects, and test for each class. Habakkuk 2:2 Set deadlines and put what's due 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... This helps get everything out of your head on paper and lowers the pressure and nervous feeling you get.

Get your favorite snacks and enjoy once you finish!! Find a hobby you like: games, sports, art, music, cooking, and have fun!!!

The Truth About Healthy Hair If you've ever been on any journey, I believe we both can agree that it definitely has its sunny days and cloudy days however, in the end, it was always worth it! Well, I’ve come here to tell you that, that is exactly how it is going to be on a healthy hair journey! It’s important to know that everyone starts at different stages and not to compare your progress with others. Understand that your genetic code is truly unique to you and that healthy hair care is holistic! Today I will provide you with basic tips to help you along your journey.

hen it comes to hair and scalp care, the KEY is to keep it simple. In order to have healthy hair, you need your foundational products which are quality shampoo, conditioners, leave-in conditioner, and styling agents. It's important to shampoo and conditions your hair on a frequent basis, at least weekly or biweekly. If you are someone who experiences dry scalp, use a medicated shampoo such as Nizoral which can be found on Amazon. After, follow up with a moisturizing shampoo and deep condition because medicated shampoos are drying. Also, If you have been prescribed special topical treatments for this use them as instructed on the bottle. Hair growth thrives best when the scalp is clean. It is a myth that your hair grows better when dirty.

This leads me to my next point, I know it's popular to pre-poo and create a food cocktail to moisturize your hair, however, you can clog your follicles resulting in hair loss and dandruff. It’s in the work we do, as followers of Christ where we can do the most good for others. It’s where God can shine the brightest by us doing good that people really appreciate and value.

This is when our light shines the brightest, in dark, challenging, difficult and hopeless places in the world. The results are people you encounter in the workplace or because of your work, are grateful, glorifying our Father in heaven. Maybe, it’s time you see your work not as a job or a task, but as a harvest field to bring attention to our Heavenly Father, by bringing excellence to the workplace, where you spend much of your time encountering people. Seeing your work as a God assignment for using your gifts and what you are passionate about doing, then your work will do something good, adding value to enhance the lives of others and solve problems.

Greetings and blessings to you! I am grateful to share the word I received from the Lord, and I pray it's a blessing to you. When we read 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 it expresses the importance of us being in position. There is power in practicing what you preach. If we are teaching everybody else and yet our homes are in shambles, we are missing it. You see this scripture means to me, that we have positioned ourselves as the authority to teach the word of the Lord, and people will receive their breakthrough. However, pay close attention here. What we don’t want to happen is when we’ve preached and taught to everyone else, you turn around and ask, Lord what about me?

But I am here to tell you, my friend, that your time is coming. Your blessing is on its way. There are times when things may feel like it's not happening how you expect them to, but that’s not the time to give up. It's not the time to scale back. It's time to push. You see many people give up right when they are on the brink of their success. There are many reasons this happens: • Lack of resources • Fear • Disappointment in not hitting their target • Feeling like a failure • The failure of success and many other reasons. If this is happening, there needs to be a perspective shift that takes place. That perspective shift is realizing the work that you’ve already done in the process as the reward, not the goal that you’re trying to reach. Let me break it down for you. We all define success differently. Sometimes success can be measured by planning a goal and going after it. But the Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24: 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord that you are serving. This means that whatever we do, whether your goal is achieved or not, work on the vision as if you're working for the Lord. This is the true definition of success.

But, friend, walk with me in this, I want you to shift your perspective and look at all that God has done for you in the process. Look at how you’ve evolved and grown. What you used to do, you don’t anymore— in the past, you might’ve given Your first try may not be what you expected. It may not seem excellent or "perfect" but that's okay. Keep plowing the ground and you'll look up and see how much you've accomplished. I want you to look at your life. Somewhere in your life, you may have had a goal or something you wanted to achieve but maybe it didn’t happen the way you wanted it to. somebody a choice of words when you were upset, but now, you just put it all in the Lord's hands. Now, that's real growth. You see, most times when things aren’t working the way you think they should, it’s easy to quit, but I want to encourage you not to quit.

2. Acknowledge the micro wins along the way- God is even in the small wins. It may seem minuscule to some but if you measure them against the goal, you think you didn’t achieve, you’ll see how much of an impact you’re truly making. 3. Create a gratitude journal- what can you become instantly grateful to God for in this process? Take a moment to write down all the things you're grateful for right now. You'll feel so much better when you recognize what you have vs. what you don't have. You can start with statements like I AM so grateful and thankful for . Here me friend, don’t throw in the towel, don’t give up, it’s working out for you. It will all work together for your good. When you're going after the things of God, it has no choice but to come together. It will, just don’t give up.

Shift your perspective. Stop looking at what isn’t working out and pay attention to the accomplishments along the way. Some people are challenged with noticing the impact they’re making on others. It may seem as if your work isn’t as great as you think but look again and check your receipts.

You're winning!

Here are some ways to focus on what’s going well in your life instead of what you think isn’t working: 1. Celebrate your wins- Take a moment to smell the roses. Don't speed past your accomplishments. Clap for yourself and what you've done so far.

Humm...Frustrating, Hostel, Unsafe, Deceitful, Manipulative, Lifeless, Unloving...?

What is your participation in how you describe your marriage?

“Where there is no vision, the people (marriage) will perish.” Proverbs 29:18

No one gets married with the intention for their marriage to fail; therefore, the one-word descriptions above probably weren’t how you had visioned your marriage ever to be. A few months ago, I was graced to have the honor of engaging in a conversation with two younger men who were both Husbands, Fathers, and Powerful leaders. One of the Young Men started to share his admiration of My wife and I relationship from what he had observed and wanted the same for his marriage. He precedes by making a statement by saying, “Your marriage is so easy and smooth, “what’s your Secret”? My secret is all wrapped up in one word, “ INTENTIONALITY ,” Which is defined as (Noun) the fact of being deliberate or purposeful. I chuckled a bit and said, “My marriage isn’t as easy as it looks!”

I proceeded to share with them that in any relationship you’re in, whether your marriage, with siblings, parents, or co-workers, the cultivation of the relationship is imperative to be international, deliberate, and purposeful for the relationship to be successful, fruitful, and satisfying. A plant without water will die unless it is intentionally watered consistently! I also met a young man that was taught by his father that you always continue what you start...but the way it was introduced to him was that if you do little or just enough to get by, then you won’t have to keep up with much and expectations won’t be too high. So, in essence, don’t start anything that you can’t maintain.

Write down a list of words on one side of a sheet of paper that currently describes your marriage or relationships. On the other side of your paper, write down words that describe your vision for your marriage or relationships; pray over them, and by faith, start your journey on the Road of “INTENTIONALITY” And watch The Lord move; on your behalf.

In times of isolation and separation, God will give you a revelation to make you one with Him. Overcome loneliness and procrastination. When people, situations, and negative thoughts come your way, just say, “Access denied.” If you give negativity an inch, it will take a mile. Stop granting access to what disrupts your progress. Deny toxic relationships access into your life. You are not an entrance and exit gateway, stop allowing people to walk in and out of your life. Start telling them, “Access denied!” Don’t allow anything to upset the flow of your joy. Move beyond your past and embrace your future. Tell yourself, “I’m through with this mess, so I can accept God’s best.” Do more than exist and begin to live with purpose, on purpose, and for a purpose because you have a dynamic purpose. Don’t let negativity become your reality. Live, laugh, and love again. You have life, faith, vision, hope, peace, purpose, resilience, and persevering power. It’s in you, it’s in there. Access the greatness within you and give birth to it. You’re pregnant with purpose. Don’t abort your vision, your future, or your destiny. Deliver and birth it. Cancel your subscription to every negative issue. It’s over, let it go. You can’t change the past, but you can presently shape your future because you’ve got love under new management. Make a personal pledge of allegiance. A pledge is a solemn promise and commitment that one makes, through words to honor that vow.
