PROPHETIC CORNER
One thing I know for sure is that as long as you keep on living, you are going to experience offense. Offense is so dangerous because it makes you blind to the truth. It causes you to be non-productive and it keeps you arguing and in strife. If you’re not careful, offense
can destroy your marriage, your family, your ministry, and your business. This is simply a test that we have to pass. In actuality, offenses are working for your good. It’s sharpening something in you. The key is that you have to make a decision ahead of time that you have to be free from offense. It is not a case-by-case basis. You must choose to forgive beforehand. You must choose to be unoffended. Let’s talk about the characteristics of offense. People who are easily offended usually do not have a lot of friends; they isolate themselves. Their mind operates from deception. They hear and see things that are not true, however they believe what they hear and see to be factual evidence. They believe themselves over
anyone else. They surround themselves with those that agree with them. They feel safe in their own controlled environment where they can control everything and everyone. They would rather not face difficulties and cannot take correction; therefore they never grow. They escape from the test and never let God have His perfect work in them because they’re afraid to go through the painful process and allow God to heal them. (continued on next page) 12
