I survived an abusive relationship. The physical stuff? Awful, yes. But the emotional manipulation and financial control? That’s the part that took the longest to undo. That kind of abuse doesn’t just break your heart, it chips away at your identity.
Then came a workplace accident that left me with a brutal back injury and a future that looked foggy at best. I was bruised, broke, and burned out. For a while, survival was the only plan.
