Although Mr. Quintenz, if confirmed, has committed to rescheduling the CFTC Tribal roundtable, IGA is still unconvinced that Mr. Quintenz understands the commitment to trust and treaty obligations and the intent of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA). It is crucial that Congress is continually educated on the negative consequences for Tribal governments, should CFTC not take action to regulate this illegal new market.
