SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS Jenness Park is dedicated to seeing each of the young people who set foot on the property make life- changing decisions for Christ. Our goal is to see all campers accept Jesus Christ as Savior, grow closer in their relationships with Him, and demonstrate a desire to share their faith with others. Every element at camp is designed to point in one of these directions. It is our desire to see Every Young Person taking their Next Step with Jesus. Friday Night: The Gospel is presented introducing campers to Jesus Christ, telling them of His death, burial, and resurrection. An invitation is presented for any who want to begin a personal relationship with Jesus and to have a conversation with someone about the decision that they made. Saturday Morning: This rally is specifically geared towards preparation to the dedication service. We believe that once one gives himself over to Christ, the next natural step is dedication. This rally give practical steps toward living out this dedication. Saturday Night: During this time, we give the campers an opportunity to dedicate their life to Christ and to be used by Him – placing all they are, all they have, and all they ever hope to be under His control. This is a very special time for the entire camp. Sunday Morning: This is our last rally with the camp and therefore becomes a Sending Service. It is focused on the question of how we can go home and live differently. Our prayer and heartbeat is for campers to go home and begin reaching friends and family for Christ. Campers are provided a Camper Journal to use during their time at camp – stressing the importance of a daily time with the Lord and taking notes when the word is preached. CAMPER BEHAVIORAL POLICY We have four main rules at camp that help us ensure each camper is safe and has a great week at camp. Campers are expected to be at every scheduled event such as meals, meetings, and activities. Campers cannot bring any items we define as contraband. See the packing list below for examples of contraband. Campers are expected to refrain from any inappropriate physical contact with others. Campers will not engage in aggressive behavior (verbal or physical). We have a strict NO BULLYING policy. Campers may be sent home after the first instance of this behavior. If campers disobey the above rules, parents or youth leaders will be contacted. At the discretion of the Camp Director, Word of Life Fellowship reserves the right to dismiss any individual whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate. In such cases, no refund will be provided. Any costs related to relocation or additional expenses incurred by Word of Life Fellowship will be the responsibility of the participant or, if under 18, the participant’s parent/guardian.
