Local Talent Elliott Groenewold Shines at 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase Elliott Groenewold, 19, a Bellows Falls native and nephew of Walker Supply employee Keith Perl, represented the USA at the 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase in Minneapolis. A fourth-round draft pick of the Boston Bruins, Groenewold joined fellow Bruins picks James Hagens and Will Moore among the 42-player squad, which included top athletes from Canada, Finland, and Sweden. Groenewold grew up playing hockey in New Hampshire, attended Bishop's College School in Quebec, and skated for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the USHL. At Quinnipiac University, he played every game last season, recording four goals, eight assists, and a blocked shot in 35 of 38 contests — the longest streak in the country.
