Kick off the School’s Out series with a day full of Girl Scout fun! Through hands-on crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and Girl Scout traditions, girls will make new friends, celebrate sisterhood, and start planning an exciting year of adventures. Along the way, they’ll build the real-world confidence to explore their interests, strengthen their leadership skills, and make the most of every Girl Scout experience.

Get up close with the tiny creatures that make a big difference! During this hands-on Bugs Badge workshop at Kansas City Community Gardens, Girl Scouts will explore garden habitats, identify insects, and discover the important role bugs play in keeping ecosystems healthy. Along the way, they’ll build the real- world confidence to investigate the natural world, ask questions, and become thoughtful environmental stewards.
Start your engines for a high-speed STEM adventure at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games! Girl Scouts are invited to bring a male caregiver or another special male role model for an afternoon of hands-on STEM activities, racing, games, and family fun. Along the way, girls will build the real-world confidence to fuel their curiosity, tackle exciting challenges, and discover STEM in action.

Girl Scouts and their families will follow an enchanting trail filled with costumed characters, live animals, interactive activities, and delightful surprises that spark imagination at every turn. Along the way, girls will build the real- world confidence to explore, imagine, and discover the wonder of the outdoors.
Spend the day discovering new outdoor adventures at Camp Tongawood! Girl Scouts will try archery, learn the basics of fishing, and explore Leave No Trace principles through hands-on activities that connect them with nature. Whether they’re hitting the target for the first time or casting a line into the pond, they’ll leave with new skills, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.
Experience the magic of live theater with Girl Scouts at Starlight! Girl Scouts and their families can enjoy discounted tickets to Newsies, the inspiring story of Jack Kelly and a determined group of young newsies who discover the power of courage, teamwork, and standing up for what they believe in. It’s an unforgettable night of entertainment that builds real-world confidence long after the curtain falls.
Discover how math comes to life in the animal kingdom during this after-hours adventure at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium! Through a guided night hike and hands-on activities, Girl Scouts will explore the patterns, shapes, and connections found in nature while earning their Math in Nature: Shapes in Nature Badge. Along the way, they’ll build the real-world confidence to think like scientists, ask big questions, and see the world through a new lens.
