Together, Let’s Celebrate Your Retirement BUILDING SMARTER PLANS AND LIFELONG PARTNERSHIPS

I’d like to take a moment to draw your attention to the top right-hand corner of the newsletter. Our motto, “Building smarter plans and lifelong partnerships,” holds so much meaning and value to me. Over the years, clients have come to me from various platforms, cities, and backgrounds, and for many different reasons. Some have had prior experience with other advisors and wanted a second opinion, and, together, we built a smarter plan. By “smarter,” I mean that once a retirement plan is created, it’s not the final version. Instead, it adapts and becomes “smarter” along the way because life throws us curveballs. Our world, values, goals, ambitions, and

planning, long-term care costs, savings and income stream sources, Social Security strategies, and estate planning. Speaking of estate planning, I am always delighted when clients refer a friend or family member to me, trusting that I am able to help with their individual and unique situations. Your family is our family, and no matter where they live or where they are with regards to retirement, I am more than happy to help in any way possible. My goal is to help you thoroughly enjoy your retirement years; and, by building lifelong partnerships with you and your family, I have the honor and privilege of watching that come to fruition. Keep in mind that when I talk about lifelong

We are very accessible to our clients, and that includes your family members too. I’m happy to go above and beyond to accommodate anyone that you are close to, no matter where they live — lifelong partnerships don’t stop in Jacksonville! maintaining our frequent TV and radio appearances, weekly e-mail messages, monthly webinars and newsletters, social media presence, and our amazing social events. So many varied venues to learn and share, and so many wonderful opportunities to connect with others and create lasting friendships.

I’m here to help you and your family to celebrate retirement. I want you to feel confident in and proud of everything that has led up to, and comes along with, your golden years. It all starts with a conversation; and, from there, the talking and communication never stops. Together, we forge a valuable lifelong partnership and, as all families do, embrace all that life throws our way!

I’ve found that clients enjoy and hold much value in our interactive workshops. It’s the perfect time for clients to introduce friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers to me in a relaxed learning environment where questions are encouraged. I love the sharing of knowledge while clients and attendees discuss real-time experiences, which are some of the best learning tools around. Some current topics we have covered include tax efficiency, pro-active financial

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE? 3 ESSENTIAL PACKING TIPS

the suitcase, check it off. Writing everything down creates a system to prevent leaving anything behind. And when it’s all on paper, you’re more likely to notice that you probably don’t need that many pairs of sandals. Use your personal item for extra storage. Airlines generally allow travelers one carry-on bag and one personal item. The dimensions allowed vary by airline, but the general rule of thumb is that the personal item needs to fit under the seat in front of you. Don’t bring a small purse or a laptop bag when you can take a large tote or backpack. With the extra room, you can avoid checking another bag. Never check essential items. Lost luggage is the worst way to start a vacation, but it happens. If your luggage is misplaced, you probably won’t get it back that same day. So, you need to pack all essential items, like prescription medications or glasses, in your carry-on bag. Some experts even recommend tossing an extra shirt or pair of underwear in your carry-on in case your bag gets lost. You’ll be glad to have them if something goes awry. Packing smart will make for a less stressful journey. You can kick back, relax, and enjoy the trip knowing that everything you need is right there in your suitcase, and everything you don’t need is safe at home.

Many people are considering traveling this spring for the first time since the pandemic started. A lot has changed since 2020, but packing for vacation remains a hassle, and baggage fees haven’t gone anywhere. Here are some essential tips to keep your load as light as possible — physically and mentally. Make a list. It’s just as easy to forget things as it is to overpack. Solve both problems at once by creating a packing list in advance. Consider in detail what you’ll need, and put it in writing. As each item gets added to
