Excuse me. Excuse me! Do you speak English? Oh, thank god. Yes, I’m looking for the New Museum. The New Museum. As in “opposite of old.” My map says it should be here. This is the Bowery Street, isn’t it? And we’re here. So the New Mu- seum should be right there where that empty lot is. Oh, look at that plastic bag fly- ing through the sky like a noble condor! What do you mean it’s gone away? Where to? I’m sorry to be so pushy, but it’s very important that I find it because – now this is going to sound implausible – I’m the museum’s new director. Gosh, look – there goes another bag! Wow! We ought to do an exhibition on these fantastic, flying plastic bags you have here in New York! They really are something!
