Pratik Sarker earned his Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from the University of New Orleans in 2018. Following his graduation, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Dr. Sarker expanded his expertise in industry, joining Detroit Engineered Products as a project engineer. In this role, he led aero-thermal and propulsion system projects and spearheaded both light- and heavy- duty truck programs, further honing his leadership and technical skills. Since 2022, Dr. Sarker has been an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering on the Prescott Campus. He teaches courses on machine design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and more.
