If you are coming to San Antonio for Institute in October (and if you aren’t, why not?! ) you are in luck. There is no shortage of ways to get to Institute and around in San Antonio. We will be at the beautiful San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter in the heart of all the fun things to do in San Antonio. If you are driving in for Institute, all the main Interstates such as I-10 and I-35 are within a few miles of the hotel. If you are flying in, it is a short 15 minute drive from the airport. Come early or stay a day late and see all of the following attractions that are within walking distance: • Tower of the Americas with an observation deck and revolving restaurant https://www.toweroftheamericas.com/ • The San Antonio Riverwalk (think lots of great shopping) https://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/ plan-your-trip/
• The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum (the Real Texas Deal with an Old Saloon and tales of the Texas Rangers). https://www.buckhornmuseum.com/
The Alamo. https://www.thealamo.org/
La Villita Artisan Village (one solid block of handcrafted goods). Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. https://www. lavillitasanantonio.com/ And there is so much more. San Antonio has an excellent system of hop on/hop off buses and tours that take you to all the wonderful sites in the city. Go to https://www.viator. com/San-Antonio/d910-ttd or https://www. visitsanantonio.com/ to help you make your travel plans. Did I mention that ELTON JOHN’S Yellow Brick Road-the Final Tour will be at the Alamodome (a 12 minute walk from the hotel) on Saturday, October 29, 2022 –the day after Institute?
