Greetings and Happy NewYear from Houston! We are kicking off the year with new and exciting opportunities that we would like to share. While introducing our new board members for our 2022 season, HADOA hosted a hybrid style luncheon on February 16 about Navigating your Career with Purpose hosted by Teresa DeMoura with Surge Energy. She shared some exciting knowledge and tips to help people find success in all stages of their career journey. We are thankful for our partnership with the Petroleum Club of Houston and the wonderful speakers we have that allow this to happen. If you are not a member but still wish to join the Zoom luncheons, all you do is register at HADOA.org! This year, our goal is to focus on getting back to education and throwing in a speaker or two that will help everyone in other aspects of their jobs. There are times when we must move on either by choice or because we have been forced. We want to make sure that members have the tools necessary to be successful on your job hunt, or on your next interview. HADOA has already started planning for a June Seminar with the help of Yolanda “Yoli” Bazan. We are so excited about some of the topics that will be announced later, and we hope to see you there. For additional information regarding HADOA please view our website: www.HADOA.org. ………………………………… MID-AMERICA ASSOCIATION OF DIVISION ORDER ANALYSTS (MAADOA) Association based in the Wichita, KS Area (Inactive)

Greetings from West Texas! We hope everyone has had a great start to 2022! PBADOA ended 2021 with an exciting Christmas Social. We played games, won prizes, and ate some delicious food. Tina Gillihan spoke to us about the Basin Dream Center for Orphans. This is a living center for young men and women who are homeless, at risk for homeless or who are transiting out of foster care. She spoke on the importance of providing stability and support to help the kids gain confidence and independence to reintegrate back into the community. We were able to raise $1,754.00 for them at our luncheon. PBADOA started the year with a presentation from Demetri Economou on “Fixed vs Floating Royalty Issues”. A pretty hot topic at the moment with some interesting court cases to follow. He was gracious enough to stick around and answer our numerous questions we had on the topic. On February 9, Derek Cook presented “Persuasion Inside Four Corners: How Principles of Oil and Gas Instrument Construction Drive Oil and Gas Litigation.” Mr. Cook discussed focusing on the document at hand instead of other factors that come into play if a case went to court. He focused on one case his firm worked on between Anadarko and TRO-X-LP. Our next luncheon will be on March 9. We are also excited to start planning a joint seminar with PALTA in April.
