June 2-July 21 Concerts on the Rooftop

July 15-July 16 Annapolis Irish Festival Beginning in 2011, the Annapolis Irish Festival has become a tradition, this year presented by Budweiser. Celebrate Irish heritage with Celtic music, Irish music and workshops and exhibits, and try a little Irish cuisine in the midst of it all. A family-friendly event, the festival provides Little Leprechaun Land with pony rides, face painting and more for kids. A family-friendly event, the Round Up will feature a kid’s corral with free activities and even a splash pad. Author James Rada, Jr., of Canawlers: A Novel of the C&O Canal , tells the story about the canal’s community and its workers as well as the area’s role in the war. Join this celebration of the National Park Service Centennial at the Brunswick Public Library. Running over 20 years strong, White Linen Night celebrates the revival of the arts in the community since 1994. Enjoy live music, free galleries and museums, and food and cocktails on the closed-off 300 to 600 blocks of Julia Street. An old New Orleans tradition, wearing white linen in the summer time helped beat the heat. Breezy and cool, white suits, dresses and hats became a classic. Lee headed for Harrisburg. So why don’t you? Visit Harrisburg during its first-ever citywide commemoration of the critical role Pennsylvania’s capital played in the Civil War. Local history, places, people, events and stories come alive to chronicle Lee’s Second Invasion of Pennsylvania and his desire to capture Harrisburg. Events include panel presentations, re- enactments, period dance and music demonstrations, and narrated tours of the Pennsylvania Capitol, the Civil War Flag Conservation Center and Camp Curtin, among others.
