Then as new missionaries go to the field they can give forth the message immediately while they themselves are learning the language. Stories by the thousands could be told of the amazing triumphs for God by the use of these consecrated discs. Scofield Pastor’s 26th Dr. Harlin J. Roper, the pastor of the Scofield Memorial Church of Dallas, Texas, began his 26th year of ministry in a recent Sunday morning service. During the last 25 years, Dr. Roper has not only pastored the church but has been instrumental in the organization of a dozen other movements for God as well as being the author of a complete Bible study course. Dr. Roper was called to the pastorate of this church which honors Dr. C. I. Scofield, the author of the notes of the Scofield Bible, while he was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary. Ontario Temperance Campaign Representing churches, the Salvation Army, Y.M.C.A., Y.W.C.A. and the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, the Ontario Temperance Federation suggests a 2-million dollar a year ad vertising campaign to give scientific facts on the danger of over-indulgence in alcoholic beverages. The federation suggests that the money should be raised by a 1% tax on beer, wine and liquor sold in Ontario. The plan is to use newspaper, radio and billboard to put over the message. Ontario’s liquor bill last year totaled $210,000,000.00. Christ for Everyone Plans continue for the widespread simultaneous evangelical campaign of Christ for Everyone. It is expected that 50,000 fundamental pastors will co operate in promoting a two-week evan gelical campaign this coming October.
